Of particular interest to governance practitioners is the work of the following programmes:

Political and Institutional Dynamics of Social Development: The research focuses on the political processes and institutional arrangements underpinning the achievement of progressive social change, including poverty reduction and social justice.

Social Policies for Inclusive and Sustainable Development: Research under this theme will contribute to understanding how to achieve progressive social change, including overcoming poverty and inequality, by developing more comprehensive and universal social policy frameworks, and by extending social policies and protection to ensure the inclusion of marginalized groups.
